2-Year Manufacturer’s Warranty Policy

We are committed to delivering high-quality products and transparent, fair customer support. This manufacturer’s warranty is provided in addition to your statutory consumer rights, which remain unaffected.


1. Warranty Coverage

Duration

All Delan Engineering electronic products are covered by a 2-year manufacturer’s warranty, starting from the date you receive your order.

Scope

This warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship occurring under normal, intended use.


2. Product-Specific Terms

2.1 DELANCLiP Starter / Gamer

Cable Integrity

The cable and strain relief are designed and tested for normal use.

Damage resulting from:

  • pulling,

  • twisting,

  • crushing,

  • or forcibly bending the cable

is considered mechanical damage or misuse and is not covered under warranty.

We conduct mechanical load testing to ensure durability; cable pull-out under normal use does not occur.

Support Options (Out of Warranty or Misuse Cases)

  • Paid cable replacement service (£10 + shipping, region dependent).

  • Discount on a new product as a goodwill gesture.

  • Free shipping on a future order.


2.2 DELANCLiP Fusion

Battery Coverage

The built-in rechargeable battery is covered for 6 months against capacity degradation due to normal wear.

This limitation does not affect your rights in case of a manufacturing defect of the battery, which remains covered under the standard 2-year warranty.

Post-Warranty Battery Support

  • Battery replacement service (£15 + shipping).

  • Free replacement battery (customer installs at own risk; soldering required).

  • 20% discount on a new unit.


3. Warranty Claim Procedure

Initial Contact

Please contact us using your order confirmation email and include:

  • your order number,

  • a clear description of the issue,

  • photos or video showing the problem.


Verification of Warranty Claims (Important)

To assess and confirm a warranty claim, Delan Engineering reserves the right to verify the reported fault before approving any replacement, refund, or prepaid return shipping.

Warranty claims must be verified using one of the following methods:

Option A — Video Verification (No Return Required)

Customers may submit a clear, continuous, unedited video recording that conclusively demonstrates the reported issue.

The video must clearly show:

  • the product itself,

  • the full cable from the device to the USB plug,

  • the moment the device is connected to the computer,

  • the system’s real-time response (e.g. Device Manager),

  • the reported fault occurring immediately after connection.

Videos that do not clearly show these elements, are edited, cut, recorded in portrait orientation, or omit critical steps cannot be treated as conclusive proof of a hardware defect.

If a hardware defect is confirmed based on video evidence, no return is required, and the claim will be resolved accordingly.


Option B — Physical Inspection (Return for Testing)

If video verification is not provided or is inconclusive, the product must be returned to us for physical inspection.

  • Return shipping must be arranged by the customer using the cheapest tracked service available.

  • Prepaid return labels are not provided prior to fault confirmation.

If a manufacturing defect is confirmed after inspection:

  • return shipping costs will be refunded in full (up to the cost of standard tracked postal service),

  • the product will be repaired, replaced, or refunded at our discretion.

If no defect is found, return shipping costs are non-refundable.


Insufficient Evidence

Claims based solely on screenshots, partial recordings, or incomplete information cannot be verified and therefore cannot be processed until sufficient evidence is provided using one of the methods above.


No Advance Replacement or Prepaid Shipping

Delan Engineering does not issue advance replacements or prepaid return shipping before a hardware fault has been verified.

This policy exists to protect both the customer and the manufacturer from unnecessary delays, costs, and misdiagnosed issues.


4. Shipping & Cost Handling

Return Shipping for Inspection

Customers are responsible for return shipping prior to inspection, using the cheapest tracked service available.

Confirmed Faults

If a manufacturing defect is confirmed after inspection:

  • we will refund the return shipping cost (up to the value of a standard tracked postal service),

  • and repair or replace the product at our expense.

Proof of postage (receipt or photo) is required for reimbursement.

Non-Confirmed Faults

If no defect is found, return shipping costs are not refundable.


5. Resolution Time

Once received, warranty inspections and resolutions are typically completed within 3 business days.


6. Exclusions

Software & Configuration

Issues caused by software configuration, operating system settings, third-party applications, or system incompatibility are not considered product defects and are not covered under warranty.

Accidental or User Damage

Damage caused by accidents, misuse, unauthorised modifications, or improper handling is excluded.

Heat Damage

Delanclip products are manufactured using high-quality biodegradable PLA plastic.

Exposure to temperatures above 40°C for extended periods (e.g. direct sunlight, heaters, radiators, car dashboards) may cause permanent deformation and internal damage.

Such damage is considered improper use and is not covered under warranty.

Recommended storage temperature: 10°C – 35°C, in a cool, dry environment.
